Hard to explain. It alternates~ try speling bookworm on his fingers and you'll see the pattern.

I did not know this for sure, but it's correct so far, from other people's information.

'bowr' is on the right and 'okom' is on the left. try spelling it from right finger to left and then back to right again. you'll get the pattern of how it was spelled. the letters says BOOKWORM. get it?
