Yeah, the way I understand it, Bert found the banner and allegedly tore it up (or threw it away, I'm not sure -- curse my poor memory). Unfortunately the photo shows the moment before the banner-tearing(or throwing), so a lot of people got quite a different idea of what the photo is about.

However, I don't think that he and Gerard are friends again. That's only gonna happen when pigs fly, maybe. sigh.
